As the crisp autumn air had settled into the sunset night the squeals of Elizabeth and Jerick could be heard in the silent forest that surrounded the house, her two children so happy in that moment as they played with their aunt Luka. Elizabeth staying very close to her father as she studied him, watching how he reacted to her mother knowing the differences between her brother's father and her own father. Sonja sat there debating on telling her husband that the child she was pregnant with all those centuries ago was sitting right there beside him, but she didn’t say anything sitting there just looking into his hazel eyes as she looked down at her glass. As Lucian had spoken it pulled her out of a memory that played in her head as she looked up at him, “What my love I am sorry my mind was somewhere else at the moment.” she said hoping he wouldn’t be upset with her. Lucian had just smiled back to her curious on where her mind had lead her but decided not to badger her about it instead he asked his question again, “I was just wondering on if you were okay especially after what your father had done, I know you are alive and well but I do worry about you still to this day.” his words hitting her like a brick wall as she looked over to their daughter then back to him. Moments had passed that felt like eternity but what only came out to a few seconds before she spoke, “I am fine and well as are the children, Elizabeth here is curious about you after all.” leaning her head against the back of the couch. Seeing Lucians reaction to what she just said had her looking over at them intently before a laugh escaped her, “Lucian my love she is your daughter after all, that is why she is so intent on sitting so close to you.” biting down on her lip to silence a laugh as she watched them look to each other her husband shocked but their daughter calm as she had already told Elizabeth the truth. Seeing her husband look from herself to their daughter as she couldn’t help but giggle, “Lucian my love it is true miss Elizabeth Moon Corvinus is in fact your blood daughter.” as she felt his arms wrap around her, she melted feeling safe like she always had with him. Feeling his grip slightly tighten not to harm her but as to keep her next to him, all Sonja could do was lay her head down on his shoulder her hand gently ruffling his hair. A few hours had passed as they all sat in the living room now, Sonja looked around examining what everyone was doing. Her son Jerick showing his aunt all his guns he had collected over the years, no matter if it was shotguns or anything up to a sword like what his mother carried he was always interested in the way of firearms and swordsmanship. Seeing how enthusiast her best friend was with her son Sonja changed her view and focused on her husband and their daughter, watching Liza show her father all her little books she had collected and even some crystals. Gazing upon her husband not wanting to look away thinking all to herself that this was but a dream, a toy per say that her mind was playing with just for her not knowing if it was reality or something of a daydream. Lucian looking right up to her, their eyes locking with one another as Sonja looked down to her hands that her wine glass was in, her hues going from brown to ice blue then back as it messed with her. Before she could do or say anything his arm was around her side pulling her closer to him, it’s as if he knew what her mind was up to before she could even reiterate on what it was doing to her. As the full moon shone over the lake Sonja couldn’t help but wonder outside just to gaze upon its glory, it was the first time in seven hundred years that she had really felt herself. Seeing the night sky was something she really hadn’t thought of in a very long time, not to mention that she really didn’t hide from the sunlight. Standing there she couldn’t help but smile, all the times that she had hid away from the moon in fear of the Lycans or just because the sun felt warm to her. The silent night only had a few wild life noises, the steps of deer making their way as they crushed leaves under their hooves; to the crickets making their little night songs they always did every night. The smell of fresh dew on the ground her brown eyes looking into the moon, Sonja silently thanking it as if it brought her husband back to her. Hearing the wolves howling in the night made her slightly jump yet smile knowing they were still on the lookout, always keeping an eye open just as Lucian had asked them to. “Keep us safe, always notify me if anyone and I do mean if anyone tries to come near our house here in the woods.” He didn’t say it out loud but Sonja knew who he was talking about, keeping it to herself and not letting the children know was in the best interest especially since Elizabeth just started to trust her own father after all. She just stood there holding her pendant in one hand as the sounds of the night engulfed her, feeling his arms around her all she could do was smile. Leaning her head back against his chest as she looked up at him, smiling and curious her hand reached up and gently caressed his cheek. As the moon chased the clouds from the east over to the west they sat there by a tree, watching the small waves in the lake skim over the top. Looking up to her husband she asked a lightly worrying question, “Lucian... Did you ever know the Lycans were around my house?” seeing that her question puzzled him for a moment she asked it in a different light, “I mean did you know they were hunting a vampire family?” seeing his reaction soften had her raising her own brow. Her eyes searching his once he looked down to her their eyes locking to one another before he spoke, “They had told me they found a vampire family, one that was just a mother and her two children.” he stopped for a moment to think on how to go about this before taking a breath. “They told me about a vampire family, and that one of the children didn’t smell or act fully like a vampire. That something was off about the child but they couldn’t put their finger on what it was.” he said now taking his gaze back to the lake. Sonja studied his face for a moment before her mouth dropped open raising a brow to him, “You were looking for me weren’t you, even after all those centuries you never lost hope.” as she spoke, she seen the sly smile that now shone on her husband's face. Lucian was indeed actively looking for her even after the seven hundred years of them being apart, he never gave up hope that she was alive.
