Biography There wasn’t much complaint with Amaya’s upbringing, having parents that loved her completely. Always to have the opportunity to dive into whatever heart desired. It wasn’t until her teenage years that May despised being home. Parents split, and that caused a rift that still wasn’t repaired to this day. Amaya spent all her time with her godmother Gracie and her son Kylar. The duo was inseparable from birth and now did everything together. Playing music, and writing, and eventually fell in love. It seemed like the end type of story, but that too fell apart.
Nothing like rediscovering herself in her 20’s! Going back to school was the obvious choice, studying to be a secretary and librarian. Weird combo? Totally was, something pulled May that way, a deeper calling if you will. Through her time in college, she’d met a few friends - and dated briefly a man named Samael which is who pushed Amaya to her new job. Finding out he was a demon, one in trouble. Amaya had tried everything to save him, but eventually, an angel named Michael struck him down for no reason or so believed. Demanding answers in every book, searching, getting into trouble upon getting answers nobody wanted her to find.
It was during her digging that Amaya met this woman named Gwyneth who too was searching for answers. The two bonded, and somehow Gwyn knew more about her history than anyone ever had. The two were bonded, how you ask? Angelic blood! Amaya knew her bloodline was gifted, but an angel? Deep inside she’d had this trait buried, locked away. And, with the help of Gwyn, she flourished. Being accepted within the pearly gates was a day she’d never forget. All of the happiness of feeling like she’d belonged was short-lived, however. Heavens were in chaos, and Gwyn was set to make it right. Helping her, becoming a scribe to write down the comings and goings, the dirty work the angels had demons doing their bidding. Killing when it was never allowed, taking away people's choice, their will. It became their mission to destroy them.
Many years, much heartache, and loss…it happened. Now Amaya was the head scribe, a highly trusted friend. Someone admired, but still.. There was a piece of her missing. Having the job she’d always wanted - part of her longed for a sense of purpose outside of work. Adventure, to seek that new thrill. Now that the storm had settled, Amaya sought out the storm in herself. Would she finally settle and be truly happy?
